The establishment of the land use and management plan for soils and wetlands is of great importance because it takes into account the ecological, economic and social factors that constitute the basis of sustainable development. The Division of Land Use Planning for the Conservation of Soils and Wetlands (DACS ZH) carries out projects aimed at combating soil degradation and erosion on the one hand and the protection of wetlands on the other hand by involving various stakeholders (scientists, managers, civil society and local population). The proposed actions aim to reconcile the imperatives of conservation with the needs of human development.
Restoration of degraded soils
Rehabilitation of wetland habitats and species
Eco-development in wetlands
Sustainable use of natural resources in wetlands
Promotion of sustainable tourism
